FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A portion of 21st Avenue will close to traffic as construction project begins next week
Caldwell – Phase 1 of a project to reconstruct 21st Avenue between Indian Creek Bridge and Cleveland Boulevard begins Monday, March 6, 2017. 21st Avenue will be closed from Arthur Street to Cleveland Boulevard for approximately two months – from March to May. Traffic will be detoured around the project area. See attached map. Signage will help direct motorists. The project will widen 21st Avenue to four lanes and a sidewalk within the existing right-of-way. The project is being completed in phases to minimize long-term impacts to motorists. Construction is expected to take about six months to complete and should be finished by late summer. The City of Caldwell will work to keep residents and the traveling public up to date as construction progresses. See the map below for detours and road closures.
