Description: The City of Caldwell has an opening for a Planning & Zoning Director. This is an appointed position. This individual works under the general direction of the City Council and the direct supervision of the Mayor. Successful candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with other City employees and the general public. Subject to a pre-employment drug test, credit check and background check.

 Responsibilities: Individual manages the overall operation of the City’s Planning & Zoning Department and directs the planning, zoning, code enforcement, and building activities within the city of Caldwell.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning or other closely related field; and 5 to 7 years of progressive public sector management; and extensive experience in land use planning; or any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
