Maintenance Worker OR Senior Maintenance Worker - Water

Job Summary/Qualifications: The City of Caldwell has an opening for a Maintenance Worker Or Senior Maintenance Worker at the Water Department. Individual maintains and repairs the City’s water distribution system and irrigation systems.  Must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with other City employees and the general public. Possession of a current and valid driver’s license. Provide a current driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Must live within a 20 minute after hour’s on-call and residency service response area. Subject to a pre-employment drug test and background check. 

Maintenance Worker: Ability to obtain a Class I Water Distribution Certification within 24 months of employment. Ability to obtain a Class A CDL driver’s license within 90 days of employment.

Senior Maintenance Worker: Currently hold Class I Water Distribution Certification and Class A CDL drivers license. 

Education: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED; and some experience in water distribution system construction, maintenance or repair; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
