The Caldwell Economic Development Department (CED) cultivates economic growth by attracting and retaining businesses, assisting with the creation of quality jobs, and embracing both small and large businesses and entrepreneurs. Since its inception in 1987, CED has been offering services to businesses interested in relocating or expanding in Caldwell and sparking growth in strategic commercial corridors and historic neighborhoods. CED works daily to promote the community for new business attraction, and to promote the collective economic interests of existing commercial enterprises in the Caldwell area. These efforts include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Marketing the community to business site selectors and large corporations for recruitment and expansion of their business into the Caldwell area
  • Connections to key local businesses, suppliers, and talent pools
  • Working hand-in-hand with existing businesses to assist in their growth and development
  • Assisting in obtaining grants for economic development projects
  • Site location assistance
  • Incentive and financing tools and programs
  • Serving as a clearinghouse for updated area demographic and business information and analysis
  • Developing, in cooperation with other organizations, symposiums to be available to area business owners and managers
