This portion of the Street Department website is here to provide you a list of current and upcoming road closures related to the City of Caldwell. Road closures caused by other agencies, such as the Department of Transportation on non-city maintained roadways or roadways outside of the Caldwell city limits, will not appear here. For questions or comments about this portion of our website, please call the Caldwell Street Department.
Beginning April 15, there will be a road closure on 10th Avenue between Arthur Street and Blaine Street. Knife River Construction will be replacing the existing bridge over Indian Creek. Detour route signage will be posted. The intersections of 10th Avenue & Arthur Street and 10th Avenue & Blaine Street will remain open and the 10th Avenue railroad overpass will also remain open. The bridge replacement will take approximately 6-8 months to complete.
Beginning July 9, the Caldwell Water Department will be reconstructing a water mainline on Ustick Road between Ashton Avenue and the Union Pacific railroad line. This work will necessitate traffic control with flaggers, detours, and road closures during different phases of the project. It is expected that Cleveland Boulevard will remain open throughout the course of the project but at times will be reduced to single lane traffic in each direction. Ustick Road will experience closures for portions of the project. Detours will be in place to provide continued access to local residences and businesses. The completion date for this project is expected to be September 30. Dates are subject to change. Click here for details: Construction Schedule. UPDATE: The road closure on Ustick Road between Cleveland Boulevard and the Union Pacific Railroad will continue until the end of September. Caldwell Water Department is connecting water service lines and fire hydrant lines to the newly constructed water main line. Once those connections have been made, Caldwell Street Department will then work on asphalt patching of the roadway. Road barricades and information signs will be posted and there will be access to local residences and businesses. This will complete the water main line project for the area that first began on July 9.
