The City of Caldwell will begin construction to replace the Kimball Bridge over Indian Creek on February 2. This bridge is located at the intersection of Kimball Avenue and Blaine Street, and it is an important gateway to the heart of Caldwell.

During construction, motorists can expect:

  • Kimball Avenue will be closed between Arthur Street and Blaine Street.
  • Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured. Click here to view detour maps.
  • Lane closures will occur on Blaine Street.
  • Business access will remain open, but your route may change.
  • Street parking will be restricted in the project area.

The Kimball Bridge over Indian Creek has reached the end of its design life and must be replaced. The current bridge includes two structures, the first was built in the 1930s and the second was built in the 1970s. The new bridge is expected to be completed by fall 2026 and will serve the City of Caldwell for years to come.

The project team will share information about upcoming traffic impacts through email updates.
