Downtown Pavement Overlay Project

The City of Caldwell will begin a downtown pavement overlay project on April 22, bringing roadway improvements and updated parking configurations to key areas in the downtown core. In addition to pavement improvements, the project will include restriping existing parking stalls and adding new parking stalls near the movie theater.

On April 16, just before 4 p.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle striking a child who was riding a bicycle in the street in front of his home.

Caldwell Man Sentenced for Child Sex Crimes; Detectives Seek Additiona

This week, 67-year-old Weldon Haney was sentenced to 70 years in prison (50 years fixed and 20 years indeterminate) for three counts of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct and one count of Sexual Abuse of a Child under sixteen that occurred between 2022 and 2024.

Mayor Issues Veto on Quiet Zone

Council Approves Railroad Quiet Zone and Safety Upgrades
