The City of Caldwell Wastewater Treatment Plant is a division of the Public Works Department. As a Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW), our commitment is to serve you, our residents, and to protect our environment and the receiving waters of the Boise River, through operation and maintenance of the City of Caldwell sanitary sewer system. Wastewater is the water that is discharged from households and businesses containing pollutants such as oil, dirt, chemicals or human waste, which can be harmful to the environment and to human health.
If left untreated, wastewater discharged into the receiving waters of the Boise River is harmful to human health, wildlife, and the environment as a whole.
