What is MYAC?

Founded in 1998 through the vision of former Mayor Garret Nancolas, the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) was created to empower Caldwell's youth and provide meaningful opportunities for civic engagement. Officially adopted by the City of Caldwell in 1999, MYAC gives students a voice in local government and a chance to help shape the future of their community.
Today, Mayor Phillips actively works alongside MYAC members, attending meetings and encouraging students to share ideas, discuss local issues, and help develop solutions that benefit Caldwell's youth and future generations. Through MYAC, students gain valuable leadership experience, participate in community projects, learn how local government works, and build lasting connections with peers and community leaders.
Want to make a difference in Caldwell? Join MYAC and become a voice for local youth while helping shape the future of our community. Applications are available through school counselors, at Caldwell City Hall, and online. Apply today!
