Welcome to the City of Caldwell Parks Department. It is our mission to assure each member of our community has a beautiful, safe, and enjoyable city to recreate in, to make sure our parks and city right of ways are clean, the forestry is healthy, and the community is proud to make use of our facilities. Policies

Park hours: 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Restroom hours: 8:00 a.m. - Dusk
Restrooms Closed November 1 thru March

  • Pets must be on a leash - owner responsible for cleaning up after their pet. Pets are not allowed at Brothers Park or the Quad at Pipe Dream Park, as these are sports complexes.
  • No vehicles allowed on grass without permission.
  • No glass containers or bottles allowed in any municipal park.
  • No overnight parking or camping.
  • Alcohol prohibited in municipal parks without a permit obtained from the Caldwell Police Department.

Rental Information

Park Reservation Policy
The following reservations can be made at Caldwell Parks and Recreation, 710 Irving St. or call 208-455-3060 or online at Caldwell Recreation Portal. Reservations can be made up to one year in advance of the date required.

Alcohol Permit

Alcohol is not allowed in any Caldwell Park without an approved permit. To request a permit, contact the Caldwell Police Department at (208) 455-3118. You must have proof of a PAID park reservation, and only the individual named on that reservation may apply for the alcohol permit.

Once completed, bring the signed permit form and a copy of your paid park reservation to the Caldwell Police Department for approval.

Forms without a valid authorizing signature will not be accepted. Possession or consumption of alcohol in the park without an approved permit will result in a citation.

Rose Garden Rental

This is a perfect setting for weddings. Roses are in bloom from June until the first frost in the fall. The Rose Garden is available for rental from April through September. The cost is $50 for 2 hours or $90 for 4 hours. This fee covers the garden only, chair rental is not included. Electricity is available, but not guaranteed.

Luby Park Gazebo Rental

This gazebo style shelter in Luby Park is open for reservations. This covered shelter is available for wedding receptions, birthday parties, and family events. The rates are: 4 hours or less: $50; over 4 hours or all day: $75. This fee includes electrical outlets and four picnic tables located on the shelter.

Memorial Park Bandshell Rental

The Bandshell in Memorial Park is a covered shelter used for reunions, special events, birthdays, and wedding receptions. It is available for rent 12 months prior to your event. The rates are: 4 hours or less: $75, over 4 hours or all day: $125. This fee includes several electrical outlets and twelve picnic tables which are permanently located in the shelter. Water is available on site.

Mallard Park Picnic Shelter Rental

Caldwell's newest park located at the corner of 10th Ave. and Orchard near Lake Lowell. This new park consists of 6 shelters available for rent. Other amenities include a handicap accessible playground, basketball court, walking paths, an amphitheater, and disc golf course. Rates for shelters are: large shelters (two): 4 hours or less $60; over 4 hours or all day $100. Small shelters (four): 4 hours or less $50; over 4 hours or all day $75.

Pipe Dream Park Gazebo Rental

This new gazebo style shelter in Pipe Dream Park is open for reservations. This covered shelter is available for birthday parties and family events. The rates are: 4 hours or less: $50; over 4 hours or all day: $75. This fee includes electrical outlets and four picnic tables located on the shelter.

Curtis Park

This gated park is located off Channel Rd. along the Boise River. This primitive wilderness park supports area wildlife in a natural habitat setting. Enjoy the beauty of nature along the footpaths, and a natural spring. Due to the natural setting for the wildlife this is not a regularly groomed park, No running water, No electricity, and vault restroom facilities only. Immerse yourself in this beautiful wilderness oasis just minutes from downtown! Perfect for weekend outings, outdoor weddings, reunions and other family gatherings.

There is a $50 per day fee to use this park. Reservations must be made at the Parks & Recreation office, and a $20 (cash or check) key deposit fee is required. This key deposit is refunded to the customer when the key is returned within the designated time period. Keys must be returned within three business days of the last day of your reservation, or you forfeit the $20 deposit and you will be charged a $100 replacement fee to replace all locks and city employee keys for the facility gate entrance.
