About the Team

Currently the Caldwell Police Department has 73 officers to serve a population of 59,996 (US Census Bureau V2020). We are looking for qualified candidates interested in a career in law enforcement. Caldwell Officers have the opportunity to grow and advance within the agency and serve our community with pride.

Pay and Benefits

2025 Police Pay Schedule coming soon.

Benefits include quarterly longevity pay, certificate pay for intermediate and advanced POST certificates, uniform allowance, paid vacation, ten paid holidays per year, medical, dental, vision, 401K match and life insurance.

Testing and Requirements

Testing for Patrol Officers consists of a written test, physical fitness test, polygraph, psychological exam, physical exam and a thorough background investigation.

Applicants for patrol will be administered a physical fitness test (PFT) and a written test of basic knowledge on the day of testing. The PFT complies with Idaho Police Standards and Training (POST) fitness requirements.
