Caldwell Night Rodeo (CNR)

Now in its 97th year, Caldwell Night Rodeo is one of the largest and longest-running annual events in Canyon County, drawing rodeo fans in excess of 45,000 over 5 action-packed nights. Listed among the Top 20 Professional Rodeos AND Top 5 Large Outdoor Rodeos in the nation, Caldwell Night Rodeo features the best professional cowboys, cowgirls and animal athletes in the world and is an annual stop on the professional rodeo tour.

Each year officers not only attend and work the rodeo but serve breakfast during the Buckaroo Breakfast. This provides officers the ability to interact directly with the public "off duty".

Girls Night Out + Boys Night Out

Hosted by the YMCA, this event is held once a year and provides girls the opportunity to hang out, have fun and interact with one another and officers. Many of the officers are SRO's, however any officer, their wives and records clerks are invited to attend and help out.

Police Station and Vehicle Tours

Police Station and vehicle tours are always fun! Officers are given the opportunity to meet with members of the community and show them the station and police vehicles. Often, members of the community bring us treats, which is always appreciated!

Shop With a Cop!

One of our favorite events! Each year, children in our community get paired with an officer. They are given a gift card (the amount is based on family size) and they get to shop for themselves and their families for Christmas! Children eat breakfast and get photos with Santa before being driven, in the front seat of a police car, to Walmart for shopping. Kids are allowed to use the lights and sirens and get to spend time having fun.

Special Olympics Idaho and the Law Enforcement Torch Run

Special Olympics Idaho and the Law Enforcement Torch Run. We are proud to be involved in with Special Olympics Idaho! Our officers have the privilege of helping Idaho Special Olympics with fundraising and event promotion. Several members of the police department sit on various Special Olympics Boards. We were honored to carry the Law Enforcement Torch, Flame of Hope to kick of the 2023 Special Olympic Games in June.

Cram the Cruiser!

Each year Caldwell Police host a Cram the Cruiser Event. This event directly benefits the citizens of Caldwell by stocking the Blessings Box with non-perishable food items, diapers, toilet paper, etc. Each year the event has been hugely successful thanks to the amazing members of the Caldwell community who so selflessly donate money and items to help those in need.

The Blessing Box was created to provide for our community and fill the gaps in service availability. The Blessing Box contains non-perishable food items along with toiletries and is available 24/7 to our citizens. The Blessing Box is filled by community members and business partners who sponsor it and fill it every month. The motto of the Blessing Box is "Take what you need, leave what you can." Caldwell Police would like to thank our major sponsors: Grocery Outlet of Caldwell and Walmart.
