Councilmember Diana Register has lived in Idaho since 2006, and has a long history in law enforcement. Her law enforcement career began in 1997 working out of state, with subsequent civilian employee positions at both the Caldwell and Nampa police departments. Diana is also the widow of Caldwell police officer Chad Register, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2016. Diana is an international best selling author, a local realtor, and a small business owner. She is also the Chairman of the IAM149 public charity, which she created after her husband's death to grant wishes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

Diana has four children. Her stepson Stephen proudly serves in the United States Navy. Her daughter, Savanna graduated from Caldwell High School in 2013 and has since graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) Magna Cum Laude. Diana's son Shane (also a Caldwell High School alumni) is a veteran of the United States Navy and is currently working on a degree from Boise State University. Diana's very talented daughter Kaitlyn is finishing up cosmetology school.

Diana has strong ties to public safety and as a former city employee desires to become an advocate for all of our hardworking employees city wide. Diana also has a passion for working with youth, and compassionately helping people in their grief as a grief coach.

Diana enjoys anything history related, trivia, and using her creativity and humor in her writing, social media work, and public relations. Diana has deep roots in Caldwell and looks forward to moving our great city into the future while maintaining it's small town charm.

Diana was elected to the Caldwell City Council in 2021, and took office in January of 2022.
