As the sun sets on the 102nd Annual Caldwell Night Rodeo, we look forward to celebrating the rodeo for another 50 years.

The City of Caldwell is proud to announce the renewal of the lease for the Caldwell Night Rodeo, extending the partnership through 2076 and ensuring that this beloved Caldwell tradition will continue for generations to come. The new 50-year lease represents a shared commitment to preserving an event that has become an important part of Caldwell’s identity, culture, and heritage.

For more than a century, the Caldwell Night Rodeo has brought together families, friends, visitors, rodeo fans, and members of our community to celebrate the spirit of the American West. Today, it stands as one of the top five outdoor Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeos in the nation, a distinction that reflects the quality of the competition, the dedication of its Board of Directors, volunteers, and the tremendous support of the Caldwell community.

“This is about much more than a lease,” said Mayor Eric Phillips. "It is about preserving a tradition that has helped define Caldwell for generations. We are proud to be part of securing the future of the Caldwell Night Rodeo for the next 50 years and look forward to seeing this tradition continue to grow and thrive.”

The renewal provides a strong foundation for the rodeo’s future while recognizing the important role it plays in Caldwell’s history and community. It also reflects the City’s commitment to supporting events and partnerships that contribute to Caldwell’s quality of life, economic vitality, and sense of place.

As the lights go down on the 102nd annual Caldwell Night Rodeo, they will shine again for years to come. With this renewed 50-year lease, the City of Caldwell and the Caldwell Night Rodeo look forward to writing the next chapter of a tradition that has already lasted more than a century.

From 1924 to 2026, the Caldwell Night Rodeo has built a legacy. With this renewed lease, that legacy will continue through 2076.

Here’s to the next 50 years of rodeo, community, and Caldwell tradition.
