The Caldwell Fire Department is proud to announce a community Push-In Ceremony to welcome its two newest apparatus, Engine 13 and Squad 13, into service. The event will take place on December 10 at 4:00 p.m. at Caldwell Fire Station 3 (11945 Skyway St, Caldwell).

A push-in ceremony is a long-standing fire service tradition where firefighters and community members join together to “push” new apparatus into the station bay, symbolizing readiness for service. This time-honored ritual dates back to the era of hand-drawn fire equipment and remains a meaningful way to introduce new resources that will support public safety.

Engine 13 and Squad 13 will enhance emergency response capabilities across Caldwell, improving efficiency, reliability, and service to residents. These modern units reflect the City’s continued investment in public safety and its commitment to ensuring firefighters have the tools they need to protect the community.

Community members, media, and partners are invited to attend the ceremony, meet the crews, and get an up-close look at the new apparatus.
