The Caldwell Fire Department will host a groundbreaking and demolition ceremony for the new Fire Station 1 on April 22 at 4:00 p.m. The event will take place at 423 Blaine Street, the site of the former City Hall.

The ceremony marks the official start of construction on the new Fire Station 1 and represents a significant milestone in the city’s long-term investment in public safety infrastructure.

In November 2023, Caldwell voters approved a fire station bond, directly supporting the rebuild of Fire Station 1, the construction of a new Fire Station 4, and the development of a Fire Administration building in downtown Caldwell. Following voter approval, the City and Fire Department conducted a comprehensive evaluation of operational needs and future service demands, resulting in a strategic plan focused on building facilities that match the needs of a growing Caldwell and the firefighters who serve it.

Community members, city leaders, and project partners are invited to attend the ceremony and celebrate this important step forward in strengthening Caldwell’s emergency services.
