At 12:20 this afternoon, Caldwell Fire responded to a two-alarm fire at an apartment on Parkview Lane.

Crews from Caldwell, Nampa, and Middleton Star Fire District responded with seven engines, along with two truck companies and two Battalion Chiefs. The fire started in a third-floor apartment and spread into the attic, affecting adjoining units. Fire crews quickly cleared the surrounding apartments and were able to confine and knock down the fire in about 20 minutes.

One person, who experienced a medical emergency during the incident, was transported to the hospital. No firefighters were injured. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the investigation will continue. Three units were damaged, two on the third floor and one on the second floor. Three families have been displaced by this fire. Caldwell Fire Local 1821 is assisting the families.

During this incident, Caldwell Fire had no remaining units available in the city. As a result, units from Nampa Fire, Middleton/Star, and Canyon County Paramedics handled additional 911 calls in Caldwell while crews were committed to the two-alarm fire. We want to thank them for their partnership and support.
