Recreation Guidelines & Policies
Recreational programs offered through the City of Caldwell are on a first come first served basis. Enrollments are processed in “real time,” meaning the registrant will be instantly enrolled in the activity.
Many of our programs require a minimum number of participants, and are subject to cancellation if that minimum is not met. If you are interested in a class, we encourage you to register early - your participation could be the one that ensures a great class moves forward! Activities not meeting enrollment minimums will be cancelled and the registrant will be notified by phone or email, so please keep your account contact information up to date.
If Caldwell Recreation cancels a class or activity due to any reason, the full registration amount will be refunded. Participants will have the option of receiving a credit on their account or a full refund to the original payment method. Payments by check will be refunded through Caldwell City Accounts Payable and will be mailed to the participant, usually within three weeks. How to Register
With our online registration platform, CivicRec/CivicPlus, you will be able to create an account for members of your household and register online for Caldwell Recreation activities. The shopping cart and a secure payment processing system allow you to register for one or multiple activities, pay the fees, and receive an email receipt/confirmation all in one transaction.

The Home Screen will look like the image at right, showing you how many activities are visible under each category. These numbers may change based on your filter settings. There are several icons across the top:

- Alerts
For more features, the "Menu" link in the top left corner allows you to switch to the Desktop Version. This version gives you access to more features, such as your account history and notification/alert settings.
Walk-In Registration:
Walk-in registration is also available at the Parks & Recreation building at 710 Irving Street, Caldwell, next to Memorial Park. Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for Federal Holidays. During business hours, you can reach us at (208) 455-3060 and we are always happy to help!
Refund Policy
A total refund will be issued if the class or program you have registered for is full or has been cancelled by the Caldwell Recreation Department, or for medical reasons (with documented evidence). A refund (minus a $6.00 processing) fee is issued when you cancel 7 or more days before the starting date of the class or program. Fees will be charged for any class attended. The processing fee is waived if you apply your refund to an alternate session or class. Refunds will not be issued:
- When you cancel less than 7 days prior to the start date of a class/program.
- When the fee paid is less that $6.00.
- For team fees, when cancellation is after the registration deadline.
Liability Waiver
The following liability waiver applies to all participants enrolled in any City of Caldwell Recreational programs. Upon enrollment you accept the following conditions:
- I certify that, to the best of my knowledge, the participant(s) named herein is/are physically able to engage in these activities.
- In consideration of acceptance of the registration, I for myself, children, guardianship, and anyone entitled to act on the behalf of anyone registered for the City of Caldwell Recreational programs, agree to waive any claim against the City of Caldwell, its employees or its agents for injuries that may occur as a result of my participation in this program. I understand the risks involved in the activity and agree that I will exercise caution and take all steps necessary to avoid injury.
- I give my consent for use of any photographs or videotape taken of myself and/or participant to be used in future promotional and marketing materials.
