On January 7 at 4:30 p.m., Caldwell Fire Department provided auto aid to MidStar Fire, responding to a structure fire in the 21000 block of Towns Circle. The swift actions of the first arriving engine ensured the fire was extinguished within three minutes.
During a search of the residence, crews discovered three pets that had tragically lost their lives as a result of the home fire. Fortunately, no residents were injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This incident highlights the strong working relationship between the Caldwell Fire Department and our neighboring fire service agencies. Auto aid agreements ensure the closest resources are deployed quickly, regardless of jurisdiction, allowing us to provide the best possible service to our communities.
The Caldwell Fire Department reminds all homeowners to equip their homes with working smoke detectors and to test them regularly. Smoke detectors save lives by providing critical early warnings during emergencies.
Additionally, homeowners can help protect their pets by placing pet alert stickers on windows or doors to notify first responders of animals inside the home. These stickers are widely available for purchase and can save valuable time during emergencies
