Explosive Devices, Drugs, and 23 Dogs Found During Caldwell Search War

Caldwell Police served a search warrant yesterday at a residence on the 500 block of E. Ithaca near N. 5th Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation into 67-year-old Randy Robinson for allegedly creating homemade explosive devices that were determined to be extremely volatile and unsafe.

After obtaining a search warrant for drugs and explosives, detectives, assisted by the Nampa Police Department and a National Guard explosives specialist, executed the warrant at Robinson’s residence. Several devices of concern were located and safely rendered inoperable. In addition, detectives seized illegal drugs from the home.

Also found inside the residence were 23 dogs, which were safely removed from the property and transferred to the local animal shelter for care and evaluation

Robinson was arrested and booked into jail on felony unlawful possession of explosive devices and drug charges.
