“Greetings from Caldwell” Mural Project

The City of Caldwell invites artists and artist teams to submit proposals for a 30’x10’ postcard-style mural celebrating the identity and vibrancy of Caldwell. The large-scale, postcard-inspired mural is intended to showcase local culture, landmarks, and community pride. This public artwork will welcome visitors and residents with bold, colorful imagery that says: Greetings from Caldwell. The mural will be located at 812 Main Street on the wall of the alley.

The goal of this project is to inspire civic pride, beautify the city, and create a new landmark photo location.

The city encourages professional artists or artist teams to apply. Those with large-scale mural experience is preferred.

The submission deadline is March 13.

• Artist Selected: April-May 2026, top three finalists will receive a $200 cash stipend

• Design review board for final approval: March-April 2026

• Mural Completion: May-June 2026 (weather dependent)

• $7200 – Covers artist fee, materials, supplies, and related expenses

• Artist(s) required to agree to the terms outlined in a city contract for services

Submission Must Include:

• Artist statement and bio

• Concept sketch of mural

• Portfolio (five images)

• Resume or CV
