At approximately 5:57 p.m. yesterday, crews from the Caldwell Fire Department responded to a structure fire near Farmway Road and Karcher Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a barn fully engulfed in flames and immediately initiated an aggressive fire attack to contain the fire and prevent further spread to nearby structures and vegetation.

At this time, no civilian or animal injuries have been reported. The extent of the damage is still being assessed, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

CFD was assisted on scene by the Nampa Fire District, Canyon County Paramedics, and the Caldwell Police Department. Just minutes prior to this incident, CFD crews also provided mutual aid assistance to the Wilder Rural Fire Protection District for a separate structure fire on Trunnell Court.

We appreciate the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies and the continued support of our community.
